Club Regional Ambassadors

What are Regional Ambassadors?

A regional alumni group isn’t “one size fits all.” Regional Ambassadors are important volunteers who build a solid community in their area by organizing events and managing local activities. Alumni interested in volunteering as a Regional Ambassador in a new area can be appointed by the MITAA Liaison responsible for the territory.

It is important to first establish that there is a sustainable alumni population in reasonable proximity. Discussions around area vitality will take place between the MITAA Liaison and interested volunteers during the onboarding process.

A Regional Ambassador is not tasked with creating charters, holding elections, or submitting financial reports. The focus of the role is on connecting local alumni and not on “red tape.” MIT encourages Regional Ambassadors to hold a minimum of two events per year and submit a yearly summary of events to track progress and successes.
